I seriously hate it when this happens. Well, not broken ovaries (although that would totally suck) but people constantly making noncommital noises when they're not even paying the slightest bit of attention! *grumbles at Roy*
Anyways, phew, what a week...I sincerely apologize for the shoddy artwork for this strip. Seriously, this week's comic barely made it up in time. We took off to Sandpoint last Thursday because Roy had an eye checkup and he promised his mother that we'd clear our the garage (which was full up mostly with car parts, several bits of wood, chairs, desks, 100 soiled copies of Nintendo Power, gardening tools, lots and lots of spiders...oh yeah, and a Karma Ghia just happened to be in there too) We were meant to come back either Saturday night or Sunday morning so I didn't bother bringing my macbook or Wacom, but due to circumstances beyond my control (me not having a car, heh) we didn't get back until Tuesday. I know what you're saying, "But you had till midnight! That's plenty of time!" Yeah, well, I usually spend up to three days lazily doodling out a comic from start to finish, and since I'm indefinitely battling Ye Ol' Writer's Block...yeah, you know. My poor plants were all famished when I came back (luckily Roy got the brilliant idea to take our cats with us...they weren't too happy about the six hour drive, but better grouchy than starved!)
Before I forget, I'd like to thank you guys for all the awesome emails! It's encouraging to have so much support after only five strips. Last night we checked the stats and were dumbfounded to see that in two days we'd had a total of 5,811 unique visitors! And all this time I thought my viewing audience would be a grand total of 3 and a half people for the first six months! ;P So a million thanks going out to you guys.
