Okay, this comic was totally Roy's idea first. He quoted it (well, something similar) last night as a joke after we watched the new Apple Keynote together and I just had to do a comic of it as a filler! Next week we'll be back to the current storyline...
Seriously, if you haven't watched the latest Keynote, take a peek and see what new awesomeness is coming out, and the amazing deals they're having throughout the Christmas season. And please, no "OMG Apple is evil and iPods are Satan's mp3 player of choice" comments if you email me. They're annoying and stupid. If you want to diss on Macs, then you've probably never used one for longer than ten minutes. "Oh, but Miya, how come you get to express your own opinion and we don't?" Well, it's my own bloody website, innit? HA! Actually, you can express your own opinion! Le gasp! There's a new thread over at the forums. Discuss your operating system of choice to your little heart's content! And hey, if you had an awesome idea for a thread, by all means, let me know! :D
So, you say, why do I think Apple is better than Microsoft? Well, first off, Microsoft spends millions of dollars trying to convince you that you want their products, whereas Apple spends millions of dollars making products that they know you actually want. Microsoft wants your money; Apple wants to keep you satisfied. Did you hear about the $200 price drop for the iPhone? Anyone who bought one within the past 14 days is going to be refunded the $200. And on top of that, Steve Jobs posted an openended letter to everyone else who bought one more than 14 days ago and offering his apologies along with $100 credit on any Apple product. Which is definitely unprecedented in the consumer electronics industry. "Oh, but Miya, what about Microsoft graciously extending all warranties for the Xbox?" Well, because the Xbox is shitty design work and Microsoft know it. So rather than fixing the overheating (and inevitably dying) issue, they just replace it again and again until the warranty is up. Not exactly what I would call customer satisfaction, if you ask me...but whatever floats your boat I guess. Secondly, and I've been a Windows user pretty much my entire life up until 6 months ago, and have only just recently made the transition to Mac. Yelling at my PC was an everyday occurance. I still have yet to scream dirty words and violent threats at my Mac. :) I feel that makes my personal opinion pretty dang legit. But hey *raises hands* if you likee teh Windows, you're free to do so. I'm certainly not stopping you.
