Ah, first dates. Sometimes I miss the hilarious awkwardness of it. The day my first boyfriend took me on a date, I forgot to wash the conditioner out of my hair. In my defense, he DID show up unnanounced. And I was beyond nervous. I believe we were actually in the middle of our first or second kiss when he said, "Uh, your hair is kinda sticky." Later I ended up getting a piece of glass on the street caught in my flip-flops and it stuck in my foot, so he had to carry me to the Olive Garden :P After that, I fell in the fountain at Temple Square. And slopped a glass of water down my front at dinner. It's the truth, I'm a horrible clutz when I'm nervous. It was a short lived romance.
Another sleepless night, oh joy. I went to bed, decided to start reading Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters, and ended up finishing the book just as the sun was coming up. My cats did enjoy the company, though. Usually they have to go through the effort of pawing at one of our faces until one of us wakes up and feeds their furry little butts.
Interestingly enough, the other day during a PT at Qufim Island, Evie jumped on my keyboard and ended up sending a load of text spam to everyone in my party and I had to explain that my cat was punishing me for not giving her attention the exact moment she demanded it. Turns out, almost everyone else in our PT was female, so we spent the next hour gaining EXP and telling stories about all the cute silly things our cats do. I don't think the men were amused.
BTW, the stock image used for the "Drink Our Freaking Coffee!" poster is from this lovely lady via deviantArt. Check out her profile when you get a chance, she has a nice collection of clear, gorgeous reference photos and whatnot.
Until next week, cheers.
