I love cats. This is probably extremely obvious to those of you who know me. So, naturally, when I started playing FFXI, the Mithra race was the obvious choice. No one mentioned to me that it's also the race that happens to get MASSIVELY hit on by online pervs. Which can be used to your advantage...no, sickos! Not by offering cyber services in exchange for gil.
If you haven't played for awhile and can't quite remember how to do things when you party up, just say "TEHE!" and "YAY!" and use the blush and dance emotes a lot and guys will totally cut you some slack for being stupid because they immediately picture a waif but busty blonde with pigtails and big doe eyes playing FFXI in her panties, a little tshirt, and knee-high rainbow socks. Seriously.
If you want to be left alone though, just pretend to be a dude. People normally take my character for one anyway because of my inability to type using messenger speech (it's the English major in me...I have to write out full, proper sentences with correct spelling. I can't just say "AFK P33in d00dz. BRB". I have to say, "I'll be back in about thirty seconds, I have to urinate.")
