Things are rapidly falling into place and I'm still flipping out. I bought some shrink wrap from Michaels that turns out not to shrink nor wrap...it simply crinkles when heat is applied. Turns out they expected me to only use it for gift baskets, not for wrapping prints...grrr. But they don't have anything in a 50 mile radius that does what I want (I need the shrink wrap they use for CDs...)
did happen to find a few sealable baggies in perfect photo size at Benjamin Franklin's during the weekend, but they only had 4x6 sized ones and one bag of 8 x 10's...no 5x7's, which is mainly what I plan on having available during Fandemonium. Phooey.
The 'rents and the in-laws are all fine and dandy, and it was great getting to see everyone. Plus my big brother came down from New York to see us with his girl (who is made almost entirely of awesome, by the way). Roy and I got to spend a few hours on the lake on Sunday with his family, which was nice. I hadn't gone swimming in years, and damn did it feel good! We did run up to Bonner's Ferry at one point and my sister and I stopped at this fantastic little shop called Under the Sun. I swear, if I were a rich girl, I would have bought up everything in there. Lucky for me, I'm extremely frugal, and ended up only buying myself a 50ยข gift tag with a gorgeous green bird on it. I plan on using it for a bookmark :) But I'll admit, I was awfully tempted to just say screw it and whip out the credit card while I was there! Sandpoint sure has changed since I left after high school. It was nice to visit, but I know I'll never truly love it like I once did.
It feels good to be home again. Nothing beats sleeping in your own bed and having two fluffy kitties snuggled at your feet. Plus we got a free air conditioner from my dad, so that was wicked.
XOXOXOXO Me
